Kent sits in the valley between Seattle and Tacoma, which means it gets the full range of what the Pacific Northwest dishes out. Wet, grey winters put real pressure on older heating systems, and the warm stretches we see in July and August remind everyone quickly whether their cooling is up to the job.
The housing stock here is varied. East Hill has a dense mix of single-family homes and townhomes, many built in the ’80s and ’90s, and a lot of those systems are getting close to the end of their useful life. Downtown Kent and the West Hill have older builds that often come with aging furnaces and electrical panels that weren’t designed with today’s energy load in mind. Newer developments near Lake Meridian and The Lakes neighborhood are better equipped, but even newer systems need service.
Cascadia Comfort works across Kent with the same approach we use everywhere: we look at what you have, tell you honestly what it needs, and recommend repair over replacement when that’s the right call. Whether it’s a heat pump tune-up heading into winter or AC repair before the next warm stretch, we’re here to help.

Kent is a city that runs on its people. From the farmers market on Railroad Avenue to game nights at the ShoWare Center, there’s a real community identity here that doesn’t get a lot of credit from the outside.
The neighborhoods each have their own character. Scenic Hill is quiet and established, with views of the Green River valley and Mount Rainier from some of the higher streets. Panther Lake has that mix of budget-friendly homes and newer builds that draws a lot of families putting down roots. East Hill spreads out across some of the city’s most livable blocks, anchored by parks like Clark Lake Park and schools families actually choose. And downtown Kent has been coming into its own, with Kent Station drawing steady foot traffic and the historic core keeping its own rhythm.
We work across all of it. The homes here are as varied as the neighborhoods, and so are the HVAC and home comfort needs that come with them. We’re not routing calls through a regional hub or sending technicians who’ve never been to King County. We live and work here, and when something goes wrong with your heating or cooling, you’re getting a neighbor, not a dispatcher.
Our first experience with Cascadia Comfort was a very positive one. We suspected a refrigerant pipe was leaking from our existing heat pump system causing damage to a window. We called Cascadia Comfort and they immediately scheduled an appointment for us with Riley. Riley arrived right on time and got to work to identify the problem. He was extremely thorough and kept us informed at all times. He did need to return a second time to do the repairs, but he was able to finish ahead of schedule. At all times, communication was clear and we were provided with up front reasonable costs for services. Although Riley did not find the heat pump piping to be the cause of the damage to our window, he did find other concerns that he promptly addressed and repaired that will save us from future problems with our system, and more costly damages than replacing a window. Thank you Riley and Cascadia Comfort for your prompt response and professional service. We will definately be using your company for all our future needs with our heat pump system.Posted on Google Kathleen Walsh I would definitely recommend Cascadia Comfort. Fantastic, small business I’m more than happy to support! Everyone was friendly on the phones and in person. Riley, is a super cool guy and fixed our leaking mini split that was installed incorrectly by another company. He also did yearly maintenance on the whole system. Thankful for his great attitude and work ethic. I’m very picky about my floors and he didn’t hesitate to wear shoe covers and clean up if he made a mess. Adam and Riley seem extremely knowledgeable in HVAC systems and I would be more than happy to use them again if the need were to arise.Posted on Google Kelly Parker Fantastic and friendly service. Appreciated the foreside and ability to fix the problem. Thanks.Posted on Google Senka Agic Bergman Cascadia Comfort came to service our HVAC system as well as to provide estimates for some work we would like done. Scheduling was a breeze and when I had to cancel the original appointment due to travel, they were very accommodating. Our technician called when he was an hour out and arrived promptly. He was very informative and thorough as we went through the scope of work. The maintenance on our furnace indicated the need for replacing a part, and the technician explained not only the function of that part, but also showed me the multimeter reading. He had the part on the truck and was able to take care if it immediately. We are very happy to have had Cascadia Comfort to provide the maintenance. We would definitely have them perform this work in the future. It will take a few days to get the estimate back for additional work, so I am not able to comment on that pricing, but the maintenance and repair price and part seemed reasonable!Posted on Google Lea Ellis Very friendly and helpful teamPosted on Google Sai Rahul Kasula We recently booked an AC and furnace tune-up through Groupon with Cascadia Comfort, and we had a great experience from start to finish. Kyle was very professional, knowledgeable, and courteous throughout the service. His communication was top-notch, and he took the time to explain everything clearly and answer our questions. The entire process was smooth, efficient, and hassle-free. We really appreciated the excellent customer service and attention to detail. We would definitely recommend Cascadia Comfort to anyone looking for reliable HVAC service and will gladly use them again in the future.Posted on Google Manali Great service, friendly, timely.Posted on Google Jay Anderson They are the best! Our HVAC system was leaking, and Riley from the company came to our home the very same day. He was extremely knowledgeable, quickly identified the issue, and shared many helpful tips on how to maintain our HVAC system for the long term. We really appreciated getting a same-day appointment, which made the whole experience even better. The team was professional, courteous, and efficient from start to finish. I highly recommend them!Posted on Google Aman Mahajan Regis came out for regular maintenance on my heat pump and furnace and he was awesome! COMMON HVAC ISSUES WE FIX
Kent keeps a busy pace. Between commutes up 167, kids’ schedules, and everything else, a broken furnace or an AC unit that quits mid-summer isn’t something you have time to wait three days on.
We offer same-day HVAC service throughout Kent because we keep our schedule tight enough to actually deliver it. Whether it’s a furnace that stopped mid-January over in the Meridian Valley area or a heat pump throwing a fault code on a warm August afternoon near Mill Creek Canyon, we get there the same day. We also handle electrical needs and generator installation for households that want backup when the power goes out.
When something breaks, Cascadia Comfort is the call that gets you a straight answer and a quick turnaround, not a callback window and a wait.
Yes. We keep our schedule tight so we can get to Kent homes and businesses the same day in most cases. When your furnace stops working on a cold morning or your AC gives out during a heat wave, you shouldn’t have to wait around. We’ll give you a clear arrival window and show up in it.
We cover heating repair and installation, AC repair and replacement, heat pump service, furnace work, electrical, generators, and commercial HVAC. Kent’s housing stock runs the gamut from older downtown builds to newer East Hill homes, and we’re comfortable working across all of it.
We do. Kent has a significant commercial and industrial base, and we work with businesses throughout the city on HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair. If you’re managing a commercial property in Kent and need honest assessments without the sales pressure, give us a call.
We look at the age and condition of the equipment, the cost of the repair, and how much useful life is likely left in the system. If a repair makes financial sense, we’ll recommend it. We’re not in the business of pushing replacements to drive up ticket size. You’ll get our honest read and the information to make the right call for your home or budget.
Yes. For larger jobs like system replacements or new installations, financing options are available. We want comfort to be accessible without forcing you into a decision based purely on what’s in your account today. Ask us about current options when you schedule.
Your home is your investment, and your comfort is non-negotiable. Whether your furnace is making a noise it shouldn’t, your AC didn’t survive winter storage, or you’re ready to upgrade an aging electrical panel, we’re just a call away. We serve Kent homeowners with the same care and attention we’d give our own neighbors — because in many cases, we are.
