Cooling Services We Offer

Whatever your cooling needs, we’ve got a team ready to help. Choose the service that fits, or call us and we’ll point you in the right direction.

System not cooling right? We diagnose the real problem and fix it fast, not just the symptom.

Regular tune-ups catch small issues before they become expensive breakdowns.

When repair doesn’t make sense anymore, we’ll help you find the right system for your home.

Adding central air for the first time? We’ll help you size and install the right system.

Ductless system not cooling right? We diagnose zone-specific issues fast.

Routine tune-ups keep each zone running efficiently and catch problems early.

Outdated or failing mini-split? We’ll help you find a system built for how you use the space.

No ductwork, no problem. Ductless is often the fastest way to add cooling to additions or converted spaces.

Not heating or cooling right? We diagnose the real issue, including reversing valve and defrost cycle problems standard AC doesn’t have.

Scheduled tune-ups catch wear before it turns into a no-heat or no-cool emergency.

When repair doesn’t make sense anymore, we’ll help you find a system built for how you actually use your home.

Adding a heat pump for the first time? We’ll help you size the right system for year-round comfort.

What Affects the Cost of Cooling Services

SERVICE & SYSTEM FACTORS

  • Type of service — A repair costs differently than a full replacement or new installation.
  • System type — Central AC and ductless mini-splits have different equipment and labor costs.
  • Age and condition of your system — Older systems may need harder-to-source parts or be past the point where repair makes sense.

HOME FACTORS

  • Size of your home — Square footage and number of zones affect equipment sizing and installation time.
  • Ductwork situation — Homes without existing ductwork often cost more for installation, since ductless options come into play.
  • Access to the unit or install location — Tight crawlspaces, attics, or rooftop units can add time.

LOGISTICS & REGULATORY FACTORS

  • Permits and code requirements — installations and system replacements require permits, which add time and cost.

Seattle's Relationship With Cooling Is Changing Fast

Cooling used to be optional here. It isn’t anymore, and we’ve watched that shift happen firsthand.

Just a few years ago, less than half of homes in the greater Seattle area had any form of air conditioning. Today, that number has climbed past 60%, as more hot days and more intense heat waves push cooling from a luxury to a necessity. We’ve been part of that shift, helping Seattle-area homeowners add cooling to homes that were never built with it in mind, and keeping newer systems running through summers that keep getting hotter.

Rooted in the Community We Serve

Cascadia Comfort isn’t just another name on a truck. We’re a PSE Trade Ally, a Kicking Gas partner helping Snohomish County families access heat pump subsidies, and a proud supporter of the local organizations that keep our community strong.

Seattle’s climate and housing stock create AC problems you won’t see everywhere. Here’s what we watch for.

  • Older homes, tighter spaces — Many Seattle-area homes weren’t built with central air in mind, so mini-splits and compact systems are common, and access can be tricky.
  • Short but intense cooling season — Systems sit unused most of the year, then get pushed hard during summer heat waves, which is when hidden issues show up.
  • Marine air and moisture — Coastal humidity accelerates corrosion on outdoor units and electrical components.
  • Mixed system types — From older central AC in Eastside homes to newer ductless mini-splits in Seattle and Mill Creek, we service a wide range of setups.
  • Local permitting knowledge — We know what’s required for repairs and replacements across Snohomish and King County jurisdictions.

Why Homeowners Trust Cascadia Comfort with Cooling Service

Mitsubishi-approved for cooling systems

We’re an approved Mitsubishi Electric installer for cooling equipment, a standard not every HVAC company qualifies for. If you have a Mitsubishi system (or want one), you’re working with a vendor Mitsubishi itself has vetted.

Trained across every type of cooling system

Central AC, single-zone mini-splits, multi-zone mini-splits, heat pumps used for cooling, we work on all of it. Whatever’s cooling your home, we’ve likely installed, repaired, or maintained one just like it.

One Team for Every Stage of Your System's Life

Repair, maintenance, replacement, or new installation, you don’t need a different company for each. We handle your cooling system from the day it’s installed to the day it’s replaced.

Estimates and Answers You Can Trust

Whether you’re comparing repair versus replacement, or installation versus a mini-split, we give you straight information so you can make the right call for your home and budget.

Seattle-born, and we've watched this shift happen

Our founders grew up here. They’ve watched Seattle go from a city that barely needed AC to one where it’s now expected, and they understand how different homes, older construction, additions, homes without ductwork, need different cooling solutions. That local insight shapes every service we offer.

What Seattle Homeowners Are Saying

Our first experience with Cascadia Comfort was a very positive one. We suspected a refrigerant pipe was leaking from our existing heat pump system causing damage to a window. We called Cascadia Comfort and they immediately scheduled an appointment for us with Riley. Riley arrived right on time and got to work to identify the problem. He was extremely thorough and kept us informed at all times. He did need to return a second time to do the repairs, but he was able to finish ahead of schedule. At all times, communication was clear and we were provided with up front reasonable costs for services. Although Riley did not find the heat pump piping to be the cause of the damage to our window, he did find other concerns that he promptly addressed and repaired that will save us from future problems with our system, and more costly damages than replacing a window. Thank you Riley and Cascadia Comfort for your prompt response and professional service. We will definately be using your company for all our future needs with our heat pump system.

I would definitely recommend Cascadia Comfort. Fantastic, small business I’m more than happy to support! Everyone was friendly on the phones and in person. Riley, is a super cool guy and fixed our leaking mini split that was installed incorrectly by another company. He also did yearly maintenance on the whole system. Thankful for his great attitude and work ethic. I’m very picky about my floors and he didn’t hesitate to wear shoe covers and clean up if he made a mess. Adam and Riley seem extremely knowledgeable in HVAC systems and I would be more than happy to use them again if the need were to arise.

Cascadia Comfort came to service our HVAC system as well as to provide estimates for some work we would like done. Scheduling was a breeze and when I had to cancel the original appointment due to travel, they were very accommodating. Our technician called when he was an hour out and arrived promptly. He was very informative and thorough as we went through the scope of work. The maintenance on our furnace indicated the need for replacing a part, and the technician explained not only the function of that part, but also showed me the multimeter reading. He had the part on the truck and was able to take care if it immediately. We are very happy to have had Cascadia Comfort to provide the maintenance. We would definitely have them perform this work in the future. It will take a few days to get the estimate back for additional work, so I am not able to comment on that pricing, but the maintenance and repair price and part seemed reasonable!

He was extremely knowledgeable, quickly identified the issue, and shared many helpful tips on how to maintain our HVAC system for the long term. We really appreciated getting a same-day appointment, which made the whole experience even better. The team was professional, courteous, and efficient from start to finish. I highly recommend them!

Regis came out for regular maintenance on my heat pump and furnace and he was awesome! He took the time to check everything in detail and then went over what he found with me. He was patient and answered all of the many questions I peppered him with. We'll definitely call Cascadia Comfort again in the future.
