Seattle’s Pacific Northwest winters are famously damp, and the summers, while short, have gotten noticeably warmer over the past few years. Green Lake sits right in the middle of it, and the homes here feel both extremes. A lot of the housing stock along the streets surrounding the lake dates back to the early 1900s through mid-century, with craftsman bungalows and older brick apartment buildings that were never designed with modern HVAC in mind. Electrical panels that made sense in 1955 don’t always keep up with today’s loads, and furnaces in homes like these often have more hours on them than anyone wants to acknowledge.
That’s where we come in. Cascadia Comfort handles heating repair, AC installation, heat pump service, and electrical work for homes throughout north Seattle. When a system needs a repair, we’ll tell you. When it genuinely makes more sense to replace it, we’ll tell you that too. For residents near Woodland Park or along the quieter residential blocks off Aurora, we’re a local crew, not a dispatch center, and we’ll give you a straight read on what your home actually needs.

Green Lake has a distinct rhythm that most Seattle neighborhoods don’t quite replicate. The 2.8-mile path around the lake draws people out in every season, and the blocks radiating outward, past the Green Lake Community Center, through Tangletown to the southeast, and up toward Phinney Ridge to the west, have that same well-rooted quality. These are neighborhoods where people stay. Longtime homeowners, families who’ve been here for decades, and renters who’d buy here in a heartbeat if the market ever loosened up.
The housing in these blocks tells a story. Craftsman homes with original bones, mid-century duplexes, a scattering of newer infill townhomes, older brick apartment buildings that predate modern insulation standards. Every block has a different set of home comfort needs, and no two service calls here are quite the same.
We work throughout the Green Lake area, including the streets around Ravenna Park and east into Roosevelt. Cascadia Comfort is a local company. We’re not routed through a regional call center or dispatched from three counties away. When something goes wrong with your heating or cooling, you’re talking to people who actually know this part of the city.
Our first experience with Cascadia Comfort was a very positive one. We suspected a refrigerant pipe was leaking from our existing heat pump system causing damage to a window. We called Cascadia Comfort and they immediately scheduled an appointment for us with Riley. Riley arrived right on time and got to work to identify the problem. He was extremely thorough and kept us informed at all times. He did need to return a second time to do the repairs, but he was able to finish ahead of schedule. At all times, communication was clear and we were provided with up front reasonable costs for services. Although Riley did not find the heat pump piping to be the cause of the damage to our window, he did find other concerns that he promptly addressed and repaired that will save us from future problems with our system, and more costly damages than replacing a window. Thank you Riley and Cascadia Comfort for your prompt response and professional service. We will definately be using your company for all our future needs with our heat pump system.Posted on Google Kathleen Walsh I would definitely recommend Cascadia Comfort. Fantastic, small business I’m more than happy to support! Everyone was friendly on the phones and in person. Riley, is a super cool guy and fixed our leaking mini split that was installed incorrectly by another company. He also did yearly maintenance on the whole system. Thankful for his great attitude and work ethic. I’m very picky about my floors and he didn’t hesitate to wear shoe covers and clean up if he made a mess. Adam and Riley seem extremely knowledgeable in HVAC systems and I would be more than happy to use them again if the need were to arise.Posted on Google Kelly Parker Fantastic and friendly service. Appreciated the foreside and ability to fix the problem. Thanks.Posted on Google Senka Agic Bergman Cascadia Comfort came to service our HVAC system as well as to provide estimates for some work we would like done. Scheduling was a breeze and when I had to cancel the original appointment due to travel, they were very accommodating. Our technician called when he was an hour out and arrived promptly. He was very informative and thorough as we went through the scope of work. The maintenance on our furnace indicated the need for replacing a part, and the technician explained not only the function of that part, but also showed me the multimeter reading. He had the part on the truck and was able to take care if it immediately. We are very happy to have had Cascadia Comfort to provide the maintenance. We would definitely have them perform this work in the future. It will take a few days to get the estimate back for additional work, so I am not able to comment on that pricing, but the maintenance and repair price and part seemed reasonable!Posted on Google Lea Ellis Very friendly and helpful teamPosted on Google Sai Rahul Kasula We recently booked an AC and furnace tune-up through Groupon with Cascadia Comfort, and we had a great experience from start to finish. The entire process was smooth, efficient, and hassle-free. We really appreciated the excellent customer service and attention to detail. We would definitely recommend Cascadia Comfort to anyone looking for reliable HVAC service and will gladly use them again in the future.Posted on Google Manali Great service, friendly, timely.Posted on Google Jay Anderson They are the best! Our HVAC system was leaking, and Riley from the company came to our home the very same day. He was extremely knowledgeable, quickly identified the issue, and shared many helpful tips on how to maintain our HVAC system for the long term. We really appreciated getting a same-day appointment, which made the whole experience even better. The team was professional, courteous, and efficient from start to finish. I highly recommend them!Posted on Google Aman Mahajan Regis came out for regular maintenance on my heat pump and furnace and he was awesome! COMMON HVAC ISSUES WE FIX
Green Lake is a busy, connected neighborhood, and when something breaks at home, life doesn’t slow down to accommodate it. Between morning laps around the lake, work commutes down I-5, and the general pace of daily life in north Seattle, a furnace that stops working or an AC unit that quits mid-July isn’t a problem most people have time to wait three days for.
We offer same-day service for heating repair, AC repair, and electrical issues throughout the area, including homes near the Licton Springs neighborhood to the north and east toward Roosevelt. Whether it’s a heat pump behaving strangely, a furnace that won’t fire up on a cold January morning, or a generator question before storm season hits, we’ll get there quickly and give you a clear answer on what needs to happen. No runaround, no upsell pressure, just honest work from a local team.
Yes, we do. We keep our schedule tight so we can respond quickly to Green Lake homes and businesses when something urgent comes up. Whether it’s a heating issue in the middle of winter or an AC problem during a summer heat stretch, we’ll do our best to get to you the same day.
We handle heating repair, furnace service, AC repair and installation, heat pump service, electrical work, generator installation, and commercial HVAC for properties throughout the Green Lake area. If you’re not sure whether your system needs a repair or a full replacement, we’ll walk you through the honest assessment.
Yes. We work with commercial properties in and around Green Lake, including small businesses, mixed-use buildings, and multi-unit properties. If you have a commercial HVAC need in the area, reach out and we’ll figure out the right approach together.
We look at the age of the equipment, the cost of the repair relative to the system’s remaining useful life, and how efficiently it’s been running. We’re not in the business of recommending replacements when a repair makes more sense. If a repair gets you several more good years, that’s what we’ll recommend.
Yes, financing is available for qualifying customers. If you’re looking at a larger installation or replacement and want to spread out the cost, ask us about current options when you schedule your appointment.
Your home is your investment, and your comfort is non-negotiable. Whether your furnace is making a noise it shouldn’t, your AC didn’t survive winter storage, or you’re ready to upgrade an aging electrical panel, we’re just a call away. We serve Green Lake homeowners with the same care and attention we’d give our own neighbors — because in many cases, we are.
