Renton sits at the intersection of King County’s older neighborhoods and some of the newer residential growth pushing south from Bellevue and Issaquah. That mix shows up clearly in the housing stock: ramblers and split-levels from the 1960s and 70s in areas like the Highlands, newer builds closer to The Landing and Kennydale, and everything in between. Older homes often carry original furnaces or electrical panels that weren’t designed for today’s energy loads, and Pacific Northwest winters have a way of exposing that when you’d least like them to.
Summers here can catch people off guard. Renton doesn’t get the extended heat Seattle does, but when July arrives, an aging AC unit or a heat pump running on fumes makes for a rough few weeks. Cascadia Comfort works with homeowners across Renton on heating repair, cooling maintenance, and furnace service, giving honest assessments of what a system actually needs. If a repair makes more sense than a replacement, that’s what we’ll recommend.

Renton has earned its reputation as one of the more genuinely livable cities on the south end of the metro. It’s not trying to be Seattle. It’s its own thing: Cedar River Trail on a weekend morning, families at Liberty Park, the Friday rhythm of The Landing pulling people in from Kennydale and West Hill. The Boeing plant on the north end has anchored this community for generations, and the character of the city still reflects that, even as newer development fills in the gaps.
The neighborhoods here range from tight, established blocks in Cascade and the Elliott area to lakefront streets in lower Kennydale with views that could stop you mid-commute. Talbot Hill has the kind of quiet residential feel where neighbors actually know each other. That mix of old-timers and newcomers, longtime homeowners and growing families, is what makes Renton feel distinct.
We’re a local company, not a call center. When something goes wrong with your home’s heating or cooling, we send someone who knows the area, not a dispatcher routing calls from out of state. That neighbor-first approach is what Cascadia Comfort is built on.
Our first experience with Cascadia Comfort was a very positive one. We suspected a refrigerant pipe was leaking from our existing heat pump system causing damage to a window. We called Cascadia Comfort and they immediately scheduled an appointment for us with Riley. Riley arrived right on time and got to work to identify the problem. He was extremely thorough and kept us informed at all times. He did need to return a second time to do the repairs, but he was able to finish ahead of schedule. At all times, communication was clear and we were provided with up front reasonable costs for services. Although Riley did not find the heat pump piping to be the cause of the damage to our window, he did find other concerns that he promptly addressed and repaired that will save us from future problems with our system, and more costly damages than replacing a window. Thank you Riley and Cascadia Comfort for your prompt response and professional service. We will definately be using your company for all our future needs with our heat pump system.Posted on Google Kathleen Walsh I would definitely recommend Cascadia Comfort. Fantastic, small business I’m more than happy to support! Everyone was friendly on the phones and in person. Riley, is a super cool guy and fixed our leaking mini split that was installed incorrectly by another company. He also did yearly maintenance on the whole system. Thankful for his great attitude and work ethic. I’m very picky about my floors and he didn’t hesitate to wear shoe covers and clean up if he made a mess. Adam and Riley seem extremely knowledgeable in HVAC systems and I would be more than happy to use them again if the need were to arise.Posted on Google Kelly Parker Fantastic and friendly service. Appreciated the foreside and ability to fix the problem. Thanks.Posted on Google Senka Agic Bergman Cascadia Comfort came to service our HVAC system as well as to provide estimates for some work we would like done. Scheduling was a breeze and when I had to cancel the original appointment due to travel, they were very accommodating. Our technician called when he was an hour out and arrived promptly. He was very informative and thorough as we went through the scope of work. The maintenance on our furnace indicated the need for replacing a part, and the technician explained not only the function of that part, but also showed me the multimeter reading. He had the part on the truck and was able to take care if it immediately. We are very happy to have had Cascadia Comfort to provide the maintenance. We would definitely have them perform this work in the future. It will take a few days to get the estimate back for additional work, so I am not able to comment on that pricing, but the maintenance and repair price and part seemed reasonable!Posted on Google Lea Ellis Very friendly and helpful teamPosted on Google Sai Rahul Kasula We recently booked an AC and furnace tune-up through Groupon with Cascadia Comfort, and we had a great experience from start to finish. Kyle was very professional, knowledgeable, and courteous throughout the service. His communication was top-notch, and he took the time to explain everything clearly and answer our questions. The entire process was smooth, efficient, and hassle-free. We really appreciated the excellent customer service and attention to detail. We would definitely recommend Cascadia Comfort to anyone looking for reliable HVAC service and will gladly use them again in the future.Posted on Google Manali Great service, friendly, timely.Posted on Google Jay Anderson They are the best! Our HVAC system was leaking, and Riley from the company came to our home the very same day. He was extremely knowledgeable, quickly identified the issue, and shared many helpful tips on how to maintain our HVAC system for the long term. We really appreciated getting a same-day appointment, which made the whole experience even better. The team was professional, courteous, and efficient from start to finish. I highly recommend them!Posted on Google Aman Mahajan Regis came out for regular maintenance on my heat pump and furnace and he was awesome! COMMON HVAC ISSUES WE FIX
Renton doesn’t slow down. Between the morning commute corridors running through Talbot Road and the families packed into Maplewood’s cul-de-sacs, there’s not much margin for a furnace that quits in January or an AC unit that stops mid-August. When that happens, waiting two or three days for a technician isn’t realistic.
We offer same-day HVAC service for heating repair, AC repair, and heat pump issues, along with electrical and generator support when the situation calls for it. Cascadia Comfort keeps scheduling manageable so we can actually show up when we say we will. No runaround. Just a local team that gets there, figures out what’s wrong, and tells you straight.
Yes. We keep our schedule tight specifically so we can get to Renton homes and businesses quickly when something stops working. Whether it’s a furnace on a cold morning or an AC issue during a heat stretch, same-day service is something we take seriously, not just a talking point.
We handle heating repair and installation, AC repair and replacement, heat pump service, furnace work, electrical, generators, ductless mini-splits, and commercial HVAC. We serve the full range of neighborhoods across Renton, from the Highlands to Kennydale to the areas along the Cedar River corridor.
Yes. We work with commercial properties in Renton for HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair. If you manage a commercial building or small business and need a local team rather than a national contractor, we’re a good fit.
We look at the age of the unit, the cost of the repair relative to replacement, and how efficiently the system has been running. If a repair gets you several more good years without a major cost hit, that’s usually what we recommend. We’re not trying to sell you new equipment if you don’t need it.
Yes. Financing is available for qualifying installations and larger repairs. If cost is a consideration in your decision, ask us about options when you schedule, and we’ll walk you through what’s available.
Your home is your investment, and your comfort is non-negotiable. Whether your furnace is making a noise it shouldn’t, your AC didn’t survive winter storage, or you’re ready to upgrade an aging electrical panel, we’re just a call away. We serve Renton homeowners with the same care and attention we’d give our own neighbors — because in many cases, we are.
